Sunday 12th September 2010, Sven Slot plays WHEN THE WIND BLOWS - for piano and toys - at Kongegaarden Center for Billedkunst og Musik in Korsør, Denmark, together with the Århus group Scenatet performing works by Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, Niels Rønsholdt and Bent Sørensen.

Kongegaarden is not only an exhibition-space and concert-hall, but also houses two flats available to artists and musicians for extended residencies. I enjoyed a year’s residency at Kongegaarden in 1999-2000.

Later this year, Scenatet will release the CD Fish & Fowl, an integrated work made by Niels Rønsholdt and me earlier this year, re-composed out of our previous works including two pieces I wrote while I was living at Kongegaarde: Why linger you trembling in your shell? and sagte er, dachte ich. Fish & Fowl will be released on the Danish label Da Capo.

And Tuesday 14th September, Theo Nabicht gives the first performance of ZEIT RECHT PFLICHT BEDÜRFNIS RAUM FREUDE UND SEHNSUCHT at BKA Theater, Berlin, 8.30pm.

ZEIT RECHT PFLICHT … is an extended, through-composed version of EIN RAUM, which was first developed as part of the upcoming music-theatre production SONIC BRICKS.

ZEIT RECHT PFLICHT … is written for contrabass clarinet and electronics, and is based on text by the Danish author Ursula Andkjær Olsen, from her book ‘Ægteskabet mellem vejen og udvejen’.
